Evangelion 2.22 announced. Fans not too surprised.
Who didn’t see this coming? The latest entry of the Rebuild of Evangelion has been listed on the Geo on the Rakuten website. According to the online retailer the DVD will be released in Japan under the title Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance on May 26, 2010. As with 1.1 and 1.11, it will feature several “readjustments.”
I’ve always been quite bitter at how they’re going about Rebuild’s home video release. Not to mention that if that really is the release date, we probably won’t see any version of 2.0 in the States until late 2010 to sometime in 2011. Cross your fingers for another AX premiere, but don’t be too shocked when they announce the Evangelion 2.22 Blu-Ray and the 2.2222222222 version for digital download featuring more “readjustments” for your viewing pleasure and certainly not for your money.
